It’s been nearly three months since Elden Ring released, and it’s not uncommon for a single-player game to “drop off” in this time. There are always diehard fans, but many will play a game and move on. Twitter user @FNBR_mjky has completed Ranni’s questline in Elden Ring 50 times. Many know that this is one of the game’s longest, most complicated questlines, and to do it without a guide is pure luck. It takes players all over The Lands Between, requires players to beat some of the hardest bosses in the game, put a “ring” on Ranni’s finger, and ultimately unlock the Age of Stars ending.
At the end of the quest, players are rewarded with Elden Ring’s Dark Moon Greatsword. This is a special weapon, befitting the ending of the quest. Not only is it a powerful greatsword in Elden Ring, but FromSoftware includes a variant of the Moonlight Greatsword in most of its games. It has quite the legacy that pairs well with the themes and complexities of Ranni’s quest.
