For instance, oneElden Ring player recently spotted what seems to be a deliberate reference to George R.R. Martin, the author of A Song of Ice and Fire and a key collaborator for the game.
George R.R. Martin wrote a significant portion of the lore players uncover in the Lands Between, and with that knowledge in mind, fans have pointed out a few things that seem like tributes to the author. For instance, while Martin has denied that he went out of his way to create characters who share his initials, the fact that so many key figures have G, R, and M names is intriguing. Perhaps another writer for the game did this to pay homage to Martin, much like Gideon Ofnir's dialogue options seem to do.

However, while the tales about gravity-wielders and giant snakes are entertaining, fans can seemingly notice an homage to George R.R. Martin by checking the first letter of each name.
As pointed out by Reddit user LuckyLuckLucker, it is hard to imagine that this order is a coincidence.
