There are perks to being such a nice lass. CJ grows more capable with each upgrade. Perhaps the most overlooked shop of all, the Bagmaker is nevertheless a boon. The more CJ can carry, the better her hauls become when she sets her sights on the various dungeons surrounding the town. Let's get this place unlocked ASAP, so our favorite treasure hunter can loot old ruins to her heart's content.
The first step to unlocking the Bagmaker in Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising involves having a chat with an NPC named Jashan. You'll find Jashan at the Rune Quarter as soon as the area is unlocked. Don't go looking for him earlier in the story, as New Nevaeh's numerous zones are inaccessible until certain main quest parameters are reached.
Jashan needs two Giant Stones in order to open up his Bagmaker shop. You may recall that Giant Stones are dropped from the Lode Golem, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising's second boss. The nice thing about the dungeon bosses is that they respawn — which proves to be important a handful of times, including now.
The Lode Golem has seen a slight power increase since your first bout. On the flip side, your party will have seen a tremendous one. Even without grinding, you will doubtless have this big pile of rocks checkmated in a manner of seconds.
