The Dying Light 2 1.3.0 update is here and with it comes a slew of tings to note, from the squashing of bugs in the co-op mode to new features. The update isn’t huge by any means, but it should make the experience more enjoyable for players. It also adds a few things that might even entice some players to return to the game.
It’s fair to say that Dying light 2 was a pretty buggy game at launch, so much so that Techland has dealt with more than 1000 bugs since it released. That’s certainly a lot of work, and it doesn’t end there, as the developer fixed many more issues with this update. Hopefully, it goes towards making Dying Light 2 feel much more stable in the long run.
The biggest inclusion here is New Game +, which allows players to relive the main story while retaining items and abilities. You won’t have access to your Nightrunner tools, though, and you have to re-acquire them as usual. New Game + also adds some new activities that are exclusive to the mode. For example, 30 new inhibitors are now located in the world that you can use to further increase your health and stamina. Fans of the parkour challenges can also work to gain the new platinum medals, which require you to set some amazingly fast times.
Enemy encounters are tougher, as levels now scale with the player to ensure that combat encounters retain a certain amount of challenge. The distribution of enemies has also been updated, so a wider variety of them will appear in encounters. Finally,there’s a new legendary weapon tier for those extra special kinds of zombie smashers.
