Dying Light 2 Dev Says DLC Will ‘Surprise People’
Since the first game came out in 2015, many fans have been holding out for the sequel, and with Dying Light 2 having come out recently, gamers have had their prayers answered, mostly. Although it was one of the most anticipated open world zombie games in recent history, it only received «generally favorable» reviews, according to Metacritic, though many praised its improved parkour mechanics and incredible visuals. That said, there are fans out there who have got a kick out of the latest entry, and as such, have been hoping for an expansion.
According to a recent report from PCGamesN, Tymon Smektała, lead designer on Dying Light 2, has said that upcoming DLC will take players into new environments, which have their own «traversal challenges.» They also said that the team is interested in surprising people, and creating «emotional anticipation.» Not much is known about what the new content will consist of, but Smektała's words seem to suggest that fans should be excited about what's coming up, and to perhaps «expect the unexpected».

What is known is that the first major expansion for the game will be coming in June, with more releases planned for the future.
