Looks like fans will have to wait a little longer before the DC hierarchy of power to change. For those who don't know, Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam has been delayed to later on in the year, while DC League of Super-Pets will be taking Black Adam's initial release date in the summer.
Black Adam is the upcoming anti-hero/villain film that will follow one of DC's most powerful characters. This is also Johnson's long awaited live-action comic book debut in the ongoing DC live action universe. The film will take place in the same world as Shazam!,Aquaman,The Flash, andJustice League. This means the potential for Black Adam to run into other powerful heroes is high.

In a quick Instagram video, Johnson discusses the new dates for these films. League of Super-Pets will be releasing on July 29th, 2022, which is perfect for the summer because kids are out of school. Black Adam will no longer premiere on July 29th and will now be releasing on October 21st, 2022. In the video, Johnson points out that the film will be in theaters through the holidays, which includes Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Black Adam is one of many DC films to suffer delays. Warner Bros. has delayed a number of films that were supposed to come out this year. The Flash and Aquaman were both heroes who had movies coming later this year, only to have them delayed to next year. DC will be focusing this year for Batman, Black Adam, and Super Pets primarily.
