Poison itself is a subtle and oftendevastating element of Dread Hunger that will quickly become a favorite among any player who gets on board, although it's the most useful for Thralls, as long as they don't ingest it themselves. Essentially, poison is an item that, when ingested, will hurt the player over time. It does a decent amount of damage and is guaranteed to make anyone panic. Poison lasts for seven minutes on a player if they don't have a cure, so it might not kill them instantly but will leave them vulnerable. To cure themselves the player will need to use an Antidote or Laudanum or simply rest.
