The game progresses in stages, with events that result in the situations of side characters changing, and thus you can miss or fail optional quests when these shifts happen.
In this guide, we'll tell you when each quest can first be undertaken and the time limits of those quests. Complete the quests before the stated cut-off point.
This stage takes place between the Prologue and the delivery of the head of the hydra to the capital of Gran Soren in Off With Its Head.
The quests in this stage become available at different points between the delivery of the Hydra's Head in Off With Its Head and the beginning of the Wyrm Hunt.
This stage runs from the completion of Wyrm Hunt quests via the license and quests given by Ser Maximilian to the completion of the quest Come to Court.
Only two of four Wyrm Hunt quests must be completed for Ser Maximilian to offer Come to Court, but to unlock later side quests, you must complete Seeking Salvation.
This stage runs from being seen by the Duke in Come to Court up to completing Griffin's Bane and Trial and Tribulations for Aldous.
This stage runs from the completion of Aldous' first quests up to the completion of Reward and Responsibility.
This stage runs from the attack that ends the quest Reward and Responsibility up to The Final Battle.
If you missed any of these quests during a playthrough, after the ending select 'Load Cleared Game' to start Dragon's Dogma's New Game Plus mode, retaining your Arisen as is and resetting quests.
