Fans have eagerly anticipating another entry, a cult hit role-playing game that first released in 2012. Since then, there have been multiple ports and a Netflix animated series, but no sequel. However, that has finally changed since Capcom has announced .
Director Hideaki Itsuno revealed the game through a T-shirt during the celebration stream that Capcom mentioned at its recent showcase. There was only a logo, as it had no gameplay, trailer, or other art associated with the game.
Details are sparse — there was no mention of a release window or platforms — but it will run on Capcom’s popular RE Engine (which stands for “Reach for the Moon” and not ““) that has been used for the last four installments, , and . Daigo Ikeno and Kenichi Suzuki will also be working on the sequel, who were art director and lead environment artist, respectively, on the first entry.
