The OnePlus Nord N20 5G has made headlines as one of 2022's best budget Android phones — but is it a good choice for people who use Verizon? While it may not be as technically impressive as the OnePlus 10 Pro, the Nord N20 5G is an exciting handset given its low price. Spending a little over $280 gets you a vivid AMOLED display, a 4500 mAh battery, 33W charging, expandable storage, and more.
As is the case with all budget phones, the OnePlus Nord N20 5G doesn't get everything right. Compromises need to be made to reach such a low price, and the Nord N20 manages this in a few different ways. There's no wireless charging, no 120Hz refresh rate, and no ultra-wide or telephoto cameras.

Another compromise found with the OnePlus Nord N20 is its carrier compatibility. Most phones todayare readily supported by all major carriers. Whether you want to use a Galaxy S22 or iPhone 13 on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, or Xfinity Mobile, there's usually no problem. But that's not the case for all smartphones — especially budget ones. Such is the case with the OnePlus Nord N20 5G. Despite being the largest wireless provider in the U.S., the OnePlus Nord N20 5G does not work with Verizon.
How does a smartphone come out in 2022 without supporting Verizon? It all comes down to carrier exclusivity. As it currently stands, the OnePlus Nord N20 5G is only available through T-Mobile. If you're interested in the Nord N20 and want to buy it, you must purchase the phone through T-Mobile and use it on T-Mobile's network. You can't buy the Nord N20 through Verizon or purchase an unlocked model to use with Verizon's network. Want the Nord N20? You better make sure you're a T-Mobile
