In Disney Dreamlight Valley, there are two kinds of aquatic life that can be obtained. The first kind are fish, which can be found in every single biome that is in the game. Then there's seafood, which consists of shellfish like lobsters and shrimp. Odd word choice aside, aquatic life classified as seafood is also unique in that not all of it is caught from bodies of water.
This is the case for clams, oysters, and scallops. The method may be different from fishing, but this guide will show Disney Dreamlight Valley players how they can get some scallops.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Get Early Access
Scallops can only be found in one biome, and that biome is Dazzle Beach. Rather than fishing for scallops, Disney Dreamlight Valley players must roam around Dazzle Beach and look for scallops.
Like picking up seashells at the beach, scallops can be obtained by picking up blue shells like the ones in the picture above. Unfortunately, this means that they cannot be farmed like seaweed, as eventually, players will run out of shells to pick up. Fortunately, shells do gradually respawn, so Disney Dreamlight Valley players can just go do other things, and eventually, more shells will be available.
Unfortunately, Disney Dreamlight Valley players cannot bring their favorite Disney characters along to help gather bonus scallops. Since scallops are not caught with a fishing rod, companions with the Fishing Role will not be able to help. Even companions with the Foraging Role are not able to help provide bonus scallops. It is unclear if this is intended or if it is a bug, but at this time, companions cannot help with scallops.
After completing the quest to fix Moana's Boat, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will be able to get free fish.
