Blizzard has announced the release date for Diablo Immortal and confirmed a PC version.
The game will enter Open Beta on PC when the mobile version launches on June 2, Blizzard announced on Monday. Players can now sign up for the Open Beta ahead of launch in June.
According to Blizzard, the game will focus on an “untold chapter in the Diablo Saga”.
“The Archangel Tyrael is presumed dead, and mankind is left to deal with the aftermath of his actions. Fragments of the shattered Worldstone, still embued with great power, are tainting the land. Diablo’s minions hope to harness that power to allow the Lord of Terror to return.” according to a story synopsis on Blizzard’swebsite.

Previously announced during an infamous Blizzcon event in 2018, Diablo Immortal was originally revealed as a mobile-only version of the popular loot-based adventure game.
“The demons of the Burning Hells are ready to be slain in the most expansive Diablo game that Blizzard has ever released,” said Mike Ybarra, president of Blizzard Entertainment, in a prepared statement.
“As Blizzard’s first game designed from the ground up for mobile, it was important to us to deliver an experience worthy of the franchise, so we did a lot of testing, incorporated a lot of feedback, and created a game that we’re very excited to share with players. We’re looking forward to unleashing this epic new entry in the Diablo franchise, and we can’t wait to join everyone in Sanctuary.”
Diablo 4, the next main entry in the series, is currently in development at Blizzard. The game was delayed into “at least” 2023 last year, along with Overwatch 2.
