Destiny 2: The Witch Queen launched with A number of these missions that have interesting, yet sometimes confusing, puzzles like the Altar of Reflection.

As of the time of writing, there are currently four missions that involve these new rune puzzles: two in the campaign and two post-campaign. In this Destiny 2: The Witch Queen guide, we’ll break down how to locate each mission and how to solve the puzzles that come with them.

For the campaign Memory missions, you can mark the Altar of Reflection on the map to give you a waypoint. The waypoint does get a little bit confusing in the “Miasma” region of Savathun’s Throne World, so follow the images below to get there.

You will then go down the tunnel until you see an orange portal, jump through and you’ll be in the correct area to start the Memories of Ruin and Memories of Loss missions.

Getting to Altar of Reflection: Catalyst is very different, but you can still track it to get you to the location where you need to go. Instead of going into the portal to get to where the Memories missions took you, go around and follow the marker. After traveling quite a distance, you’ll make it to the marker. Near the marker, you’ll find a Deepsight white orb, activate it. This will reveal glowing markings on the walls. Position yourself so that the markings make the Savathun logo like shown above. This will open a portal and allow you to enter the mission.

Getting to Altar of Reflection: Insight is a little tricky. If you track the quest, it’ll take you to above the Sepulcher Lost Sector in the Florescent Canal section of Savathun’s Throne World.

For this mission, you should go into the Lost sector, then go into the first major room. You’ll know you’re there when you see a Deepsight
