Destiny 2 developer Bungie would normally have previewed parts of the coming season at this point, but thanks to rabid fans, Bungie staffers have pulled back from the community after having received several threats. Can’t say that I blame them, but it means that we’re getting previews from less official channels.
The latest example comes courtesy of the DestinyTwoLeaks Twitter account, which recently posted this interesting video said to have been lifted from a Bungie employee’s ArtStation page. While the animation looks flashy, it’s actually a finisher that was already introduced in Season of the Haunted. Instead, check out the green icons in the lower right-hand corner.

This could be our first look at the rumored poison subclass that was part of the Pastebin leak last year. It appears to be using placeholder icons as that’s the same image used for Firebolt grenades and Shiver Strike on the Stasis Titan subclass, only green instead of red and blue. Note that the melee ability seems to have three charges.
The Super icon, however, is totally new. There’s nothing in the image that tells us what the Titan poison super will do, but the icon certainly looks like it could be a poison explosion.
Last year’s Pastebin leak noted that the Poison subclasses will work with current Exotics that are poison themed, such as the Thorn Hand Cannon, Osteo Striga SMG, and the Warlocks’ Necrotic Grips.
Bungie plans to host a Destiny 2 showcase on August 23, so if we're going to find out about a new Poison subclass, it'll be then. We're also likely to receive our first look at Season 18, next year's Lightfall expansion, and next season's remastered raid.
