Demon Slayer season 2 saw the group reunite after a destructive fight with two sibling demons in the Entertainment District, with Tanjiro's future in the Demon Slayer Corps looking bright and the group being one step closer to finally defeating the powerful demon, Muzan Kibutsuji (Toshihiko Seki). A third season was confirmed shortly after season 2's final episode aired, confirming that the new season would adapt the manga's «Swordsmith Village Arc».
