Barcelona-based indie developer Patrones & Escondites, has announced its latest creation. It’s called Delete After Reading and it’s set to land on Android at some point in the not too distant future. You might recognize the developer as the team behind the excellent Unmemory.
The game sees you finding a strange device with a file on it marked delete after reading – hey, that’s the name of the game! It’s all about trying to rewrite the mistakes that Destiny has made and having a lot of fun in the process.
You’re joining a group of kids to sneak into a mansion and steal the only remaining copy of The Curse of Penguin Island, which is apparently one of the most influential games of all time. Here’s a short trailer. For Delete After Reading, not the made-up in-game game.
There are five chapters to play through, and you’re going to have to do a lot of reading and paying attention to finish them all. There are plenty of puzzles to solve, and the game jumps around genres with aplomb.
So you’ve got visual novel, escape room, point-and-click adventure, puzzle game and more, all wrapped into a gorgeous-looking package that also features a full voice cast.
Delete After Reading looks really interesting, and we’re excited to get our hands on it. When we hear anything else about the game, we’ll be sure to let you know.
