WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story is a comedic biopic based on the life and career of parody musician «Weird Al» Yankovic. The film was directed by Eric Appel from a screenplay co-written between Appel and Yankovic. Alongside Radcliffe stars Evan Rachel Wood and Rainn Wilson as Madonna and Dr. Demento, respectively.

The teaser is short but effective. Lots of footage is shown of Radcliffe deep in his role as Al Yankovic, including clips of him performing on stage as the singer. What's explicitly known of the story is vague, but the costuming and production of the film look detailed and accurate. Those who know what Yankovic's life is like might know what to expect, but those who don't can prepare to be surprised.
The new film was originally a fake trailer for a film of the same name made for Funny Or Die by Appel in 2010. That trailer featured Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul in the lead role, and Paul would have made a cameo in the feature-length picture had he not tested positive for COVID-19 during shooting. Ultimately, Radcliffe claims he was cast for the film due to an appearance he had on The Graham Norton Show where he sang «The Elements» by Tom Lehrer.
