Earlier today, the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account promoted the upcoming Night City Wire broadcast, teasing that surprises were in store for anyone who viewed it. The Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire broadcast was first announced earlier this month and the popular assumption is that some kind of DLC news will be announced during the stream. Whether these assumptions prove to be correct, however, remains to be seen.
The development history behind Cyberpunk 2077 is a long and involved one. The first teaser trailer for the game was released all the way back in early 2013 before the game was finally released in late 2020 to a mountain of controversy regarding its performance issues. This indefinitely delayed any DLC plans CD Projekt Red had for the game but at long last, it appears that a DLC announcement may be coming for Cyberpunk 2077.

CD Projekt Red has been teasing DLC for its latest game for quite some time. The first noticeable tease for Cyberpunk 2077 DLC came in mid-August, and it was assumed that the announcement would come at Gamescom which did not happen. During an earnings call, however, the company revealed that the marketing for the DLC for the game would happen at some point during the second half of the year. While this doesn't confirm anything, it does make it more likely that an announcement will happen during the stream.
When Cyberpunk 2077 was released in 2020 it was savaged by critics for its technical performance. As mentioned above, this led the company to indefinitely delay its plans for any and all DLC as it worked to fix the game's various technical issues.
