Community Engagement Manager Josh Allen, better known as Lore, announced that he will be leaving Blizzard Entertainment this Thursday, after 9 years with the studio. Alongside his Cinder Kitten avatar, Lore became one of the most visible liaisons within the Warcraft community, well known for his forum presence, Q&A interviews, and voice over work in various patch survival guides.
As the primary point of contact for many sites and community networks, including Wowhead, we are sad to see him leave but wish him well on his next adventure! Lore joined Blizzard as a member of the Community Management team in July of 2013, becoming well known for his forum presence alongside and hosting Q&A videos, reading community questions with Game Director Ion Hazzikostas, Lead PvP Designer Brian Holinka, and other developers. Additionally, Lore provided voice overs for some of the World of Warcraft Patch Survival Guides, such as the guide to Patch 9.2: Eternity's End, helping players navigate the new content coming with each major patch.
Lore was already well known within the community before his start at Blizzard though, both as the site director for TankSpot responsible for many of their raid guides, as well as a producer and co-host of several World of Warcraft shows, including The Weekly Marmot, PST, and PST Rapid Fire, as well as both After Dark and Legendary on Gamebreaker.tv. He was also an active streamer of 10 and 25 player raid content, and even continued to stream games during his time working for Blizzard Entertainment.
