Chris Pratt responds to rumors he was once being considered to play Indiana Jones. After years of various setbacks, Indiana Jones 5 finally got off the ground, and is set for release in June 2023. Directed by James Mangold, the film sees Harrison Ford — who just celebrated his 80th birthday — reprise the iconic archeologist for (presumably) the final time. Indiana Jones 5 plot details are being kept under wraps, but set photos indicate certain sequences will see Ford digitally de-aged to appear as a younger Indy in flashbacks.
Well before Indiana Jones 5 got the green light with Ford headlining once more, there were plenty of rumors that another actor would inhabit the role. Back in 2015, a popular name widely speculated was Pratt, who was coming off the record-breaking success of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and about to star in the record-breaking Jurassic World. There were even reports Steven Spielberg was interested in directing Pratt in Indiana Jones 5, but that obviously didn't come into fruition. Now, years later, Pratt reflects on the rumors.

Appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Pratt was asked about the Indiana Jones recasting reports. Initially feigning knowing who Spielberg is, Pratt humorously explained why he'd be afraid to step into the role. Check out his comments below:
