You'll quickly be introduced to how to use your character's ability in the game — pressing Y. Now that's not the most convenient button while trying to pay attention to winning the race, but fortunately, there's an alternative. By default, ZL is also an ability button and is much easier to tap while you're zooming around the track. We recommend using this instead.
As you race around the track, there are Magic Eggs for you to swoop through and collect to give you some much-needed Magicite power-ups or Crystals. You'd be forgiven for thinking that these copper, silver, and gold eggs affect drop rates, for instance, gold giving you the best chance of a decent Magicite — but that's actually not the case.
It's true that Gold has the best offering as it gives you two instead of one power-up, but for strategic racing, you should be aware of what each egg offers.
