Screen Rant is exclusively debuting the first look at the Dirty Harry 1:6 scale figure from Sideshow Collectibles in time for fans to RSVP. The 1971 neo-noir crime thriller revolves around the titular san Francisco Police Inspector as he investigates a series of killings carried out by a vicious madman naming himself the «Scorpio Killer» and leaving threatening notes around the city. Dirty Harry took primary inspiration from the Zodiac Killer terrorizing the California bayside town around the same time.
Dirty Harry proved to be a critical and financial hit upon its release, grossing over $36 million against its $4 million budget and scoring rave reviews for its layered storytelling and Eastwood's performance, though saw some controversy for issues such as its depiction of police brutality and victims' rights. The film's success would spawn a franchise of titles centered on the character, with Eastwood starring in all four subsequent sequels and taking the helm for 1983's Sudden Impact, with the first two installments receiving generally positive reviews and large financial hauls while the last two installments saw a more mixed reception and modest box office returns. Eastwood elected to retire from the role after 1988's The Dead Pool due to his age.
