It is not just people that are obsessed with the latest cat simulator game Stray, which allows players to live as a cat.
Real life-felines can not stop watching their humans playing the game. Twitter account @catswatchstray has been set-up, dedicated to the felines who watch other cats be cats.
Stray, from French developer BlueTwelve Studio and Annapurna Interactive publishing was released this week on Playstations 4 and 5 and PC, is one of the most anticipated games of the year, Mashable reported.
* What my cat's anxiety taught me about how I should treat my own * Cat de-sexing fund creation hailed as 'a game changer' * What to do if a stray cat visits
The game allows players to live as a cat in a dystopian world, and rewards behaviour like sleeping, meowing, knocking things off tables and wandering over keyboards – all the things cats love to do, and apparently love to watch being done.
Cats Watching Stray have been compiling videos and photos of real-life cats watching video-game cat activity, and yes, it is as great as it sounds.
And a few dogs want in on the action, too.
