Capcom has confirmed that it will be hosting its own presentation next week.
The Capcom Showcase will take place on Monday, June 13, at 3pm PT / 6pm ET / 11pm BST.
However, those hoping to see new game announcements may wish to temper expectations, because in a tweet Capcom has implied there will be no new title reveals during the show.
“Introducing the Capcom Showcase, a new livestreamed digital event bringing you the latest Capcom game information,” the tweet reads. “Tune in on June 13, 3pm PT for around 35 minutes of news and in-depth updates on previously announced Capcom titles.”
Although it’s unlikely that further new games will be revealed, then, the publisher did recently show off two triple-A titles during Sony‘s State of Play presentation last week.
The first of these was the long-expected confirmation that a Resident Evil 4 remake is in development and is scheduled to release on March 24, 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
According to Capcom, Resident Evil 4 remake will preserve the essence of the original game, while “introducing modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and vividly detailed graphics”.
Also shown last week was thefull reveal of Street Fighter 6, which confirmed that the sequel is set to include a single-player adventure mode.
The gameplay trailer confirmed a 2023 release window on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
“Powered by Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine, Street Fighter 6 spans three distinct game modes, including Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub,” Capcom said. “The experience also includes innovative new gameplay features, plus enhanced visuals for every aspect of the game.”
