It's been a hot minute since we had a big Capcom release. Its last major game launches were Resident Evil Village and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, which came out in May and July 2021 respectively. We've been waiting to see what it had in store for us next, and it looks like it may be teasing its next project. Although we currently have no idea what this tease is all about.
A mysterious countdown has appeared on Capcom's website. As of right now, it's currently at a little over 6 and a half days and is continuing to tick down. Obviously, this is very intriguing since this is must be leading up to some kind of major announcement. Capcom has several franchises that are more than overdue for a new entry, but the big question now is what exactly is it counting down to?

When it comes to projects that Capcom has officially announced, the only one that we know of is the ambiguously bizarre Pragmata. This title was announced back in 2020 with a trailer that showed some kind of astronaut saving a creepy little girl with a hologram cat from the middle of a ruined New York-esque city. The trailer ended with both of them staring at Earth while standing on the surface of the moon. It was a Hideo Kojima level of weird. We haven't heard much about it since then other than the fact that it's been delayed to 2023, so this peculiar countdown could be related to this peculiar game.
We've also been hearing rumors about a Resident Evil 4 remake for quite some time. Considering that the remakes for both Resident Evil 2 and 3 were well-received by critics and fans, It makes perfect sense for Capcom to remake one of the most popular games in the entire series.
