After multiple leaks, it has finally been confirmed by developer Infinity Ward that Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will finally launch on November 16 later this year. The game will be free to play on PC via Steam or BattleNet, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Warzone 2's release date was announced during the Call of Duty Next showcase, in which we got plenty of details about the title as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which launches next month. We also got a look at Warzone 2's new map called Al Mazrah, with Infinity Ward showing off several locations that players will be able to explore, including what appears to be the airport from the fan-favorite map Terminal.

We also got confirmation from Infinity Ward that Warzone 2 will include proximity chat, so you'd better watch you say if you're planning on sneaking up on anyone. A new Tarkov-inspired mode called DMZ will also be coming to Warzone 2 that will have players infiltrate Al Mazrah and complete objectives, all the while looking for dangerous AI opponents. DMZ will be played across the whole map and players are encouraged to experiment with different playstyles, be it loud or quiet.
This is a developing story.
