Call of Duty: Vanguard Season Two was delayed in January in order to improve the state of the game. After the content dropped, players got to hop into new multiplayer maps, unlock and level up new weapons, and more. Thankfully, Sledgehammer Games has continued rolling out regular Vanguard patches. The previous patch balanced kill streaks and continued to squash bugs. Now, another balancing patch has been deployed which is good news for sniping fans. All three sniper rifles have been given a much needed buff in the latest Call of Duty: Vanguard balancing update.
The details of the sniper rifle update were shared on the Sledgehammer Games Twitter account. Sledgehammer acknowledge that sniper rifles were underperforming in Vanguard. Therefore, each sniper rifle has been hit with adjustments. The first is the Type 99 which has been made quicker with a faster aim down sight time and less sway while walking. Next up, the 3-Line Rifle has been described as the most stable sniper rifle. The flinch has been decreased in order to maintain accuracy when holding a position. Finally, the the Kar98k has seen its aim down sight time decreased for a higher chance of getting kills in close-quarter situations.
Shortly after the details of the Vanguard sniper rifle balancing update were shared, the developers informed fans of a problem. They explain that when the patch went live, not all the changes made it into Vanguard. Therefore, we are told that it will be fully integrated with the mid-season update. The date for the mid-season update has not yet been announced, but we can expect it to make its debut towards the end of March.
