Players looking forward to Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season 2 are unfortunately going to have to wait a little longer. Usually, subsequent seasons come right as previous ones conclude, but for the second season in a row, Call of Duty: Vanguard's next season has been slightly delayed.
It has been an eventful couple of days for Activision, between its buyout by Microsoft, striking employees, and upset Call of Duty players demanding changes. In an open statement Activision promised fixes were coming to Call of Dutyas technical issues, game balancing, and prevalent cheating have been running rampant in the game for some time. The company outlined two forthcoming updates, one primarily focused on addressing multiplayer issues specifically, while another would tackle the larger game-wide issues currently festering. Season 1 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific was delayed during the fall as well.

A new announcement by Activision confirms that Season 2 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific has been delayed. Like with previous seasons, it was thought that once Season 1 concludes on February 1, 2022, Season 2 would start right away on February 2, 2022, but with the statement by Activision, Season 2 will not be starting until February 14, 2022. "More needs to be done," Call of Duty writes in the new status report. "We will use this additional development time to deliver updates, including optimizations to gameplay, game balancing (...), to fix game stability and bugs, and to ensure and overall level of polish to improve the experience."
