With Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard's Season Two drawing to a close, many fans have been wondering what will be next for the island of Caldera. Season Two Reloaded brought new content for players towards the end of March this year, and now both the latest Call of Duty game and its battle royale are getting another update for the end of April, officially ending Season Two and bringing a new storyline involving nuclear weapons.
Despite being set in WWII, Call of Duty: Vanguard is not particularly known for perfect historical accuracy. Cosmetic items for guns and characters were not available during the Second World War, for example. From the looks of the Season 3 trailer, Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard will be taking events even further. However, this doesn't mean that the narratives of the games can't be entertaining at least. According to the trailer, Nazis now have their hands on weapons of mass destruction, and have been looking to use them on Call of Duty's fictional Caldera island.

The most interesting piece of information for fans comes towards the end of the cinematic trailer, which shows that a new threat stronger than any weapons is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone. Many fans are speculating that the «Monsterverse» will be coming to Call of Duty, including the appearance of characters like Godzilla and King Kong.
