Activision has released a new story trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ahead of its launch later this month. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare, and the story takes place a few years after Captain Price establishes Task Force 141.
Fans who preorder Modern Warfare 2 can play its campaign more than a week before release. MW2 officially comes out on October 28, so gamers can start playing the campaign on October 20. This gives users time to finish the story before the multiplayer and spec ops modes are released with the full game. Activision has now released a new trailer that gives players a glimpse at MW2’s campaign.

The video mostly consists of story cutscenes from the campaign. The trailer shows off Modern Warfare 2’s incredible visuals while also setting up the story of the game. At the end of the video, it reiterates that users who pre-order the digital version of MW2 can play the campaign over a week early.
Call of Duty campaigns are known for their high-octane combat sequences and the new trailer gives fans a glimpse at the game’s set pieces. It features an abundance of explosions, shootouts, and vehicular chase sequences. It also looks like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will feature a sniper level, and it’ll be interesting to see how it fares against Call of Duty 4’s All Ghillied Up.
