Former Dancing With The Stars co-host Brooke Burke doesn't think the hit dance show is a place for "a diva" like Tyra Banks. American supermodel and businesswoman Tyra took over hosting the award-winning dance competition in Season 29 after being hired by the show's executive producer Andrew Llinares. Tyra replaced fan-favorites Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, which led to an uproar amongst the show's devotees. Despite so much disapproval from viewers, Tyra returned to host Season 30.
On the other hand, Brooke is no newbie when it comes to the famous dance show. Instead, Brooke is well acquainted with the dos and don'ts of the renowned show, as she has been a part of it and tried several genres. The 50-year-old fitness personality won Season 7 of DWTS with former pro-turned-judge Derek Hough. After her time as a contender, she co-hosted seasons 10 to 17 alongside Tom Bergeron.

Although the actress has not co-hosted for a while now, she still has experience and recently shared her views about Tyra's time as host. During Wednesday's episode of David Yontef's Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, Brooke discussed Tyra's approach as DWTS host and the criticism she has received from fans, saying, «There's nothing wrong with that, and I'm not saying anything bad about her—be a diva!» However, Brooke does not believe the dance show is a place for someone like Tyra. She said, «It's [just] not the place to be a diva.»
Brooke also noted that Tyra endured a difficult transition trying to replace Tom and Erin for the last two seasons. She said, «Change is hard for everyone. They've gone through a lot on that show, that's for sure,» before adding that as a
