Admit it or not, it was one of the most popular battle royale games in India. The Indian government banned BGMI over data security concerns. Following the order, the BGMI app was removed from the Google Play Store and Apple's App store and ,can no longer be downloaded in the country. Now, it seems like there is some hope for the millions of fans who played the game!

A report has been leaked that claims BGMI could soon return back to India and that it could happen as asson as in January, 2023! Most recently, as per a report by AFKGaming. a player named predatorsasuke and Pratik “Alpha Clasher '' claimed that BGMI may return very soon. "You'd be very happy, BGMI will launch on Google Play Store on 15th January; it is a tentative date." The player named predatorsasuke further said "I haven't told the exact launch date. I only said that the game shall launch before 15th January."

Following this, another leakster Sohail "Hector" Shaikh said in his livestream, "The game is going to return in January, someone from Google said this. I don't know this personally, but I have heard this.” "It makes no difference if someone in the gaming community claims that the game will return.
