Bethesda announced back in February that it was "saying goodbye" to the Bethesda.net Launcher in May, but didn't tell us when and how we could migrate our games to Steam. Now we know that process starts on April 27.
The plan is to allow all games you have been accessing through the launcher to remain available after migrating them to your Steam account. The migration will include your entire game library, associated save files, and your Wallet. With regards to save files, only some will automatically transfer to Steam, but Bethesda intends to tell us how to copy the rest manually.
As to what's happening to the launcher, Bethesda intends to limit functionality from May 11. You'll still be able to access your library and trigger a Steam migration after that, but you won't be able to play your games through the launcher anymore. For uninterrupted access, just make sure you perform the Steam transfer in the two-week period starting April 27. The Wallet transfer is also important as it's where your game currencies are stored (for example, Fallout 76 Atoms, Rage Tokens, Rage Coins, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood Gold).
Just because the launcher is disappearing doesn't mean you won't need your Bethesda account anymore. In fact, many games and services will continue to rely on it for access to content. Bethesda.net will remain accessible using your account details and allows live titles such as Fallout 76 to be played. The account will also be used for future game releases.
Full details of what the migration process means for your games, saves, and your Wallet are available in the Bethesda FAQ on the subject. This will also be the page where the migration process instructions appear on April 27.
