The second, Minecraft 1.18, was pushed back to a holiday release date, later revealed to be late November. Even then, critical features set to be added to Minecraft as part of the Caves & Cliffs update were delayed even further. Mobs and biomes like the Warden and the Deep Dark will now be part of 2022's The Wild update.
