If you have been wanting to buy the iPhone 14 Pro or the iPhone 14 Pro Max, there's some bad news. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max variants have been in extremely high demand ever since their launch, and despite the higher prices, people are lining up to get the more expensive iPhones this year. Much of it can be attributed to the new Dynamic Island, a new main camera, and the lack of a notch. However, getting one of these phones will be tricky over the coming days.
Based on a recent announcement from Apple, it is said that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments will be lower than expected due to the ongoing COVID restrictions in the iPhone 14 Pro factory in Zhengzhou, China. “We continue to see strong demand for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. However, we now expect lower iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments than we previously anticipated and customers will experience longer wait times to receive their new products,” says Apple.
The COVID-19 restrictions in China is the main reason why the delay in shipping is happening. “COVID-19 restrictions have temporarily impacted the primary iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max assembly facility located in Zhengzhou, China. The facility is currently operating at significantly reduced capacity. As we have done throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we are prioritizing the health and safety of the workers in our supply chain,” adds Apple.
On the other hand, Apple hasn't said anything about the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The standard models are available in plenty and despite Apple cutting down on productions, you can get them immediately.
