Babylon's Fall looks like it's turning out to be a total dud. The action RPG from Square Enix and PlatinumGames has received critical maulings and completely underwhelming player counts. Indeed, the game has around 300 players as this is being written, with a measly twenty or so viewers over on Twitch.
Babylon's Fall's all-time peak in concurrent players is a paltry 1,188 according to SteamDB. Indeed, it's been such a dismal showing that Square Enix has turned to surveying players to get a better understanding of how to improve the game. Meanwhile, the number of its Twitch viewers saw an unexpectedly massive jump recently, thanks to a popular Twitch streamer turning his attentions to what he termed the "biggest flop".

Charles White Jr. is better known as Moistcr1tikal and is a YouTuber and Twitch streamer known for his humourous commentary as he plays video games. Just this weekend, White decided to stream himself "Trying the biggest flop of the year".
It proved a fairly popular stream, attracting 200,996 views, according to his Twitch page, while over on SteamDB the Steam graph shows a vertiginous spike as Twitch Viewers jumped from 10 to 10,202 before peaking at 11,320. It quickly fell to double digits as Moistcr1tikal finished his stream leaving Babylon's Fall to its tiny audience of a few hundred players and a dozen or so Twitch viewers.
