Babylon's Fall Promises Two More Seasons of Content and Improvements
Babylon's Fall is the latest live service game from publisher Square Enix and developer PlatinumGames, with the latter most famous for acclaimed high-octane action titles such as Bayonetta, Vanquish, and Nier Automata. Babylon's Fall falls in the same genre, being an action hack and slash-RPG hybrid where players can either play in a single or multiplayer setting to scale a giant tower known as the Ziggurat. As they progress through the tower, players receive loot which can help strengthen the characters they are using.
Despite the amount of hype that first surrounded the game on its initial showing, Babylon's Fall isn't performing as well as either company has hoped. This can be seen with Babylon's Fall rough launch on PC, where there were very few players playing concurrently. The critical reception to the game is also on the lower end, with players and critics lambasting Babylon's Fall on Steam and other review sites like Metacritic. Despite the current negative miasma that is hanging around the game, Square Enix is going to continue supporting it.

Posted to the game's official Twitter account, a tweet contains a letter addressing the concerns of Babylon's Fall that fans may have in its current state. The development team is upfront about the fact that the live service game is not in any danger and there are no plans to reduce the scale of development on it. Furthermore, the letter states that Babylon's Fall Season 2 content is completed and that plans for Season 3 are already underway.
