In fact, all you need is an iOS 16 supported iPhone model and you can use the Measure app to take height measurements of you friends and family. Amazingly, this can be done even when they are seated. Apple says, "On supported models, you can use the Measure app to instantly measure a person's height from the floor to the top of their head, hair, or hat. All these iPhone models feature a LiDAR Scanner which enables them to measure height. It can be noted that you will not be able to measure the height of a person if you are using an iPhone that does not have a LiDAR Scanner.
It can be known that the LiDAR Scanner lies next to the rear camera and you can use Apple's pre-installed Measure app to measure the height with the help of the scanner. Here are the steps you can follow for the same:
Open the Measure app and position your iPhone in such a way that the person you want to measure appears on the screen from head to toe.
After a moment, a line appears at the top of the person’s head (or hair, or hat), with the height measurement showing just below the line.
