Ubisoft has announced that Discovery Tour: Viking Age is going standalone starting today. The package lets you learn more about historical locations and events in a non-violent world without owning the base Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
During the Assassin's Creed's 15th anniversary celebration stream, the company announced a bunch of goodies coming in the next few months. Sadly, no new game was introduced just yet, as the team is saving the announcement of the series' next chapter for this September.

However, there's still much to be excited about. A standalone version of Discovery Tour: Viking Age is out today across Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as Google Stadia. This is the third Discovery Tour from Ubisoft that follows in the footsteps of Origins and Odyssey and allows you to learn more about the Vikings and Saxons in a non-violent environment.
This single-player experience has its own achievements list, includes Norway, England, and the two mythical realms of Jotunheim and Asgard, and offers eight major quests, full of historical and fictional characters. Discovery Tour: Viking Age is priced at $19.99 on PS Store and Microsoft Store, and is also included in the base Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Ubisoft also launched a dedicated page on the official website, offering weekly challenges in form of a 10-questions quiz with a chance to win a range of prizes. The celebration will continue all summer long, focusing on a different Assassin's Creed game each week, starting from the most recent chapters: you can already go and try out the Valhalla quiz, logging through your Ubisoft Connect account.
