Apple threatening Elon Musk’s Twitter? This is what Tesla CEO says
Elon Musk is once again a part of a Twitter related controversy! After making massive changes to the way Twitter functions across the world, Musk is now engaged in a Twitter brawl with Apple. In fact, Musk has asked Apple CEO about the decisions the Cupertino based company is making with regards to the advertising on Twitter. Apple is yet to respond on the matter officially, and clarify to the press.
Musk in a series of tweets has said that Apple has threatened to ban the Twitter app on its Apple App Store. Additionally, Apple has allegedly stopped giving advertisements on Twitter. Musk writes that Apple is doing all this in a bid to force Twitter to change its content moderation. "Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America?," Musk wrote in one of his tweets. Additionally, he came with follow up tweet asking Tim Cook, “What's going on here?"
“The Twitter Files on free speech suppression soon to be published on Twitter itself. The public deserves to know what really happened …" wrote Musk in another tweet.
Musk then went on a spree of tweets, asking several developers and publishers who have been blocked on iOS. He attacked on the topic of the 30% commission that Apple levies on all payments and purchases made via its App Store. Musk even touched upon the topic of the Epic Games trial, and posted a meme that suggested he was ready to go to war with Apple instead of paying the company 30% commission. This tweet was later deleted.
“This is a battle for the future of civilization. If free speech is lost even in America, tyranny is all that lies ahead,” he writes.
