Apple's reportedly strict guidelines for its digital ID feature could lead to delayed launches in some states. Apple announced the feature earlier this year during the company's WWDC keynote, citing that it would roll out to certain states later in the year.
In theory, it allows users to ditch their physical ID cards in favor of a digital pass in the Wallet app for iPhone. Apple stated that it was working with the TSA to validate digital identification cards when going through airports as well.
