Last year, Apple released the iPhone 13 in green at its Spring event. The company is potentially gearing up to host an event in April where it will see fit to announce new Macs and other upgrades. We have previously heard that the company plans to launch a new version of the MacBook Air with a 15.5-inch display. Today, news from a Weibo post suggests that Apple will launch the iPhone 14 in a new yellow color option this Spring.
A Japanese blog Mac Otakara suggests that the company is planning to introduce a new color option for the iPhone 14. This is the first time that we are hearing details on the new color for the iPhone 14. Apple typically releases a new color for the iPhone to encourage demand. Last year, Apple released the Alpine Green iPhone 14 and before this, Apple released the iPhone 13 in purple. This time around, it seems Apple will introduce the iPhone 14 in yellow.
At this point, we are not familiar with the shade of the color. It could look like the yellow on the iPhone 11 but it could be a new shade altogether as well. Apart from the change in color, the rest of the iPhone 14 will be identical to the existing models. It will feature the same diagonal camera layout on the back with a smaller notch on the front. The device would still rock the A15 Bionic chip, in contrast, to A16 Bionic on the iPhone 14 Pro models.
Apple will update the iPhone 14 as well as the iPhone 14 Plus with the new color option. It is also unclear at this stage if Apple is looking to release the iPhone 14 Pro in a new color. If Apple does plan to release a new color for the iPhone 14 Pro, it will potentially be in the shade of yellow. This is because the company released two shades of green last year for the standard and 'Pro' models.
