Amazon‘s US arm is running a ‘3 for the price of 2’ promotion on a range of products including video games.
Customers can mix and match across different product categories including video games, books, electronics, baby products, office and sports goods.
When VGC checked on Thursday there were 70 video game products available in the promotion, including the PS5 versions of this year’s best-selling US game, Elden Ring, and fellow blockbuster Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Amazon’s 3 for 2 promotion is a limited time offer but an end date isn’t confirmed in the T&Cs.
Target is also currently running a ‘buy 2, get 1 free’ promotion on video games, board games, activity kits, puzzles, movies, music and books, although the choice of games available is much more limited than Amazon’s.
Amazon today announced that Amazon Prime Day will be held over two days this year, from August 12-13.
To coincide with its annual shopping event, it will be giving away over 50 games to Amazon Prime members at no extra charge over the next two months.
During Prime Day, Prime members will be able to claim over 30 free games including Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, Grid Legends, Need for Speed Heat and Star Wars Jedi Academy.
And from June 21 until July 13, Prime members can also start “freeloading more than 25 free indie games instantly”.
Games on offer will include Death Squared, Fatal Fury Special, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Gone Viral, Hue, Metal Slug 2, Pumped BMX Pro, Samurai Shodown II, The Darkside Detective and The King of Fighters 2002.
Prime Gaming, which is available as part of an Amazon Prime subscription, offers members new PC titles to keep and exclusive in-game content every month.
