The Jotun Mantle Armor is a brand new set of gear that can be obtained in the new Assassin's Creed ValhallaDLC, Dawn of Ragnarok. The Dawn of Ragnarok DLC features a playable Odin once more as he journies through the realm of Svartalfheim to stop the Jotnar and Muspel from invading. Additionally, Odin must also save his captive son, Baldr, and the Jotun Mantle Armor can sufficiently aid him in his quest.
The Jotun Mantle Armor is one of five new armor sets in AC Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok that Odin can find, and much like the others, the Jotun Armor is already at the Mythical rarity. The new DLC allows players to further upgrade their armor in Dawn of Ragnarok, the base game, and other DLCs to the new Divine Tier through platinum ingots at the blacksmith. Some of the features unique to the Jotun Mantle Armor, however, include +30 Armor for 15 seconds after using an ability when two pieces are equipped, and +20 Melee Resistance when all five pieces are worn.

Once all five armor pieces are obtained players can enter the Gomul-stifla dam portal and face Rieker. Defeating this optional boss will reward players with the Jotnar Cleaver Bearded Axe, a nice counterpart to the new Fenrir's Incisor weapon in Dawn of Ragnarok. Obtaining all five pieces of the Jotun Mantle Armor requires players to find and defeat Suttungr's Outriders. Every time a Dwarve in Distress has been saved they'll reveal one armor piece location on the map, but ultimately players can head to the five locations before saving the Dwarves if they know where to go.
