Nintendo has released a TV advert for The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Viewable below, it includes brand new footage of Mario and Toad not seen in either of the two official trailers for the film released to date.
Nintendo and Illumination premiered the second trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie earlier this week.

Shown during a Nintendo Direct presentation on Tuesday and also viewable below, it opens with Mario fighting Donkey Kong, and let fans hear the voices of Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Luigi (Charlie Day) for the first time. It also shows a racing scene inspired by Mario Kart.
The film’s debut trailer was released in October and gave fans the first chance to hear Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario.
It was also confirmed this week that The Super Mario Bros Movie will be coming to parts of Europe, Australia and South America before it arrives in North America on April 7, 2023.
Universal Studios UK has announced that the film will release in UK cinemas on March 31. Meanwhile, Universal Studios France has confirmed a March 29 release for French cinema-goers.
The earliest date to be confirmed so far is Belgium, where the film will release on March 22. It will release in Australia and New Zealand on March 30.
Promotional images for the movie leaked on Tuesday, along with fresh details about the film.
These included an apparent synopsis of the movie’s story which reads: “The movie tells the story of two Brooklyn plumbers who are brothers and best friends: Mario, the brave one with the ‘let’s-a-go’ attitude, and the perpetually anxious Luigi, who would prefer to go nowhere.”
