The 90 Day Fiancé franchise has been exploding with spin-offs in recent years, and after several boring shows, a spin-off about 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Usman «Sojaboy» Umar could be an entertaining alternative to some of the duds TLC has released. After the original show's popularity skyrocketed, TLC greenlit spin-offs like 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? to follow the journeys of cast members after filming. There have been others as well. Before the 90 Days and 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way explore relationships outside the U.S., and there are some like 90 Day: Foody Call and Pillow Talk that are more like fun extras for viewers.
Still, there have been a few recent spin-offs that have flopped. Both David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan and Alexei and Loren Brovarnik’s After the 90 Days spin-offs have been criticized for being boring and bereft of drama and conflict. Many of TLC’s newest spin-offs have gotten a negative response from the audience, and it’s time the network considers other ideas.

It’s not surprising that many of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs aren’t resonating with viewers. Happily Ever After? gets criticized for recycling the same cast members and staging storylines to create enough content to fill a season. 90 Day: The Single Life has come under intense fire for featuring problematic franchise stars and being extremely cringey. Though David and Annie’s spin-off has had some interesting moments, most viewers have found Loren and Alexei's to be a complete snoozefest. The audience is clamoring for an engaging and entertaining spin-off, and TLC should get creative and think about giving unexpected cast members their own
