The thing that completionists dread, above all else, is a game filled with tough-to-find collectibles that are tucked in every nook and cranny of a large open world. While some developers keep things simple, others flex their creative muscles with collectibles.

Who’d want to collect a simple coin when you could collect tiny creatures, various kinds of waste, and backpacks? All those collectibles often offer insight into the game’s world or characters, making them a must-find for players who’ve picked up a game that they truly love.
What even are Jinjos? They seem to be some kind of strange cross between a brightly-colored rodent and some kind of teddy bear, but that just can’t be right. Regardless of what they are, you have to collect them throughout Banjo-Kazooie.
There’s always something a bit strange about collecting living creatures. Banjo has no place to put them, so they’d wind up stuffed into his backpack along with everything else he has. At least the creatures end up aiding you in your final battle after all that collecting, even if they end up stealing your thunder in the cutscene.
