Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has commented on the status of Archie and Betty's fledging romance moving forward. Originally premiering on The CW in 2017, the series was incredibly well-received by both fans and critics, complimenting its dark and modern take on the original Archie Comics source material.
