The four-episode FOX series was a tribute to the original 1987 film, Dirty Dancing,which starred Patrick Swayze as Johnny Castle and Jennifer Grey as Frances «Baby» Houseman. In the summer of 1963, Baby travels with her parents and her sister Lisa to Kellerman's Lodge, a resort in the Catskills, and dreads a boring and uneventful vacation. However, she soon becomes the dance partner of the passionate and sexy Johnny, who is the resort's dance instructor, and they fall in love.
