WB's DCEU Plan Should Revive A 20-Year-Old Lost Batman Project
It would be wise for Warner Bros. Discovery's DCEU plan to revive a Batman project canceled over 20 years ago. Batman saw a resurgence of content in the '90s with both Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher's Batman movies, Warner Bros.' Batman: The Animated Series with Mark Hamill's iconic Joker, and the short-lived Batman Beyond animated show. This then led the Batman franchise to burst with content in the 2000s and 2010s, with Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy making a particular impact on Batman's legacy. With Robert Pattinson becoming the newest iteration of the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves' The Batman, it only looks like the 2020s will continue this streak.
